We only have one week left of our summer verses. I hope your summer has been good, filled with memories, and great times! As for mine, I had a great family vacation over July 4th week, and am looking forward to getting together with family again. We all have our own lives and work schedules, not to mention live in different cities.
One of the things God has laid on my heart over these last few summer months is – less is more. With that once the real estate market turns around in my area I will downsize. That will also include getting rid of things. The excess things that seem to accumulate.
Soon I’ll be moving into a new decade and having less, living in a smaller house, and increasing my ability to visit with family, friends, and travel more appeal to me. What about you? Do you find yourself overwhelmed? So much to do around the house that when you finally finish the day is gone?
As we move into the fall and winter months I will strive to change my thoughts and set my mind to what God has lying ahead for me, and carry a new word with me LESS. What about you? Do you need to reduce, and purge excess from your life? Do you need to have a change of mind on something in your life? What ever it is it takes a mindset, a change of mind, and with that our verse this week is found in the book of Romans.
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing, and perfect.” Ro. 12:2 NLT
This week let’s ask God to transform us into a new person. Transform us, and change our minds and hearts to conform to His will for us.
