Here we are forging along in the Word of God. Oh how I pray that you are experiencing Him like never before! If you know of anyone that needs some encouragement please invite them to join us. We still have seven weeks left.
If you are new to our challenge welcome! I am so glad to have you! Let me give you a re-cap of what we are doing. It is the 2016 Challenge – we are taking 20 verses, one verse a week (ok, sometimes we have more than one verse in a week) which is 20 weeks. Each day we are focusing on the verse(s) for 16 minutes. When you focus on the Word of God, do so with a pen and paper. Ask Him to reveal what He wants you to know from the verses. Then the key is to write it down.
The premise for our challenge is Numbers 23:19. I will let you look it up for yourself. It is a powerful verse.
We just celebrated Good Friday. Today marks the day in-between Christ’s death, and His resurrection! The world is in a somber state…the Messiah was crucified, they feel alone, and wonder. But, girlfriend, guy friend – we know Sunday is coming! Easter Sunday. The day all hope was restored, and Christ rose. It is noted in all four of the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
As we continue our decent down the mountain this week we will focus on Easter, the meaning, and this verse:
“For we live by believing and not by seeing.” 2 Cor. 5:7 NLT
Let’s ask God to reveal to us the answer to these questions. Do I:
- really live like this?
- honestly believe that Christ died for me?
- accept that His death was the ultimate sacrifice for my sins?
- believe in His power instead of relying on what I see?
Those may prove to be tough questions, but so important because Christ did rise from the grave, and sits at the right hand of God. Mk. 16: 6 & 19.
If you feel like you are answering those questions with doubt, or a no. Pray each day and ask God to help your unbelief, and accept what Christ has already done for you.
This week may you realize the power of Christ in your life.
