Good afternoon fellow challengers!
I am so excited that you are hanging in there with God on this journey! We have walked up a mountain in the first 10 weeks, and last week we began our decent down by looking at what idols we may have in our lives.
Now I don’t know about you, but that climb up the mountain was, well – work. That makes it sound like our decent will be easy. No. The decent in these last 10 weeks of the 2016 Challenge the verses will carry a theme that I feel God is going to use. The verses will carry us on in the rest of our journey with Him long after this challenge is over.
Friends, I cannot tell you how much your participation has encouraged me to go on! About half way into our journey I felt the desire to really encourage others for Christ. We live in a lost and hurting world, and the older I get the more God opens my eyes. The harvest is plenty but the workers are few. (Mt. 9:37) Friends, God has called each of us on this journey to be a worker. There is a reason you are part of this challenge. God does nothing without a purpose.
- Are you willing to be a worker?
- Who do you know that may benefit joining us on these last few weeks in the challenge?
- Who needs to be encouraged in your circle?
Our premise for the challenge is Numbers 23:19. I’ll let you look it up on your own.
With our next step down the mountain this week we will focus on Hebrews 6:17-18, it will reinforce our journey together with God.
“Because God wanted to show His unchangeable purpose even more clearly to the heirs of the promise, He guaranteed it with an oath, so that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to seize the hope set before us.” Heb. 6:17-18 HCSB
Those two verses sit in the middle of a passage in Hebrews 6:13-20, take time each day to read the entire passage while you focus on our verses.
- who are the heirs being referenced?
- what is the hope before us?
May He amaze you with the view as you go through this next week!
See you at the next ledge on our way down co-workers!
